The professional team consists of 69 foreign and Slovak teachers. In year 2024, more than 800 children aged 2 – 15 and dozens of successful candidates for FCE, CAE and Cambridge exams attended our classes. Since year 2014, more than 100 students aged 7 – 19 took part in language stays and went to secondary schools abroad. In 19 years of our existence, we had more than 10,000 students who are now able to communicate in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Slovak.

SPEAK is a quality European language school with professional foreign teachers. In the English, German, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian and Slovak for foreigners language courses, students communicate without inhibition. English classes are offered to children from the age of two but also to students of primary and secondary schools as well as to adults. From a young age we motivate children to communicate in SPEAK STAR kindergarten, SPEAKland summer camp, during English language courses at SPEAK, within their language stays or while they are at the secondary school abroad.

How much time does your child communicate in English classes at his/her school or in “language classes” at other language schools? At SPEAK, we do everything for children to speak without inhibition. We speak only English during the courses. English is learned spontaneously and naturally with foreign professional teachers. Children and young people can obtain internationally recognised Cambridge certificates, namely Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET and PET every year. Those between the age of 15 to 19 go through preparation and take the internationally recognised FCE and CAE exams. Our teachers are certified by Cambridge to examine children and adults.

Have you asked at your son’s or daughter’s school whether those who teach them go through practical preparation and regular training? Our teachers are regularly trained in terms of communication techniques and how to motivate students in the classroom. The basis of our courses is a quality and stable teaching team from Slovakia and other countries. Its members are once a year observed during their classes and evaluated by coaches from abroad. In addition to regular observations and feedback to our teachers by foreign specialists, our long-term goal is to organise trainings and workshops for them as well as provide a support in obtaining internationally recognised certificates for teachers. The most important thing for us is that we do not look at teaching only as a way to earn money but also as a lifelong mission. SPEAK is now a part of pre-school network of MESRS SR (Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic). In addition, it is also an examination centre for Cambridge English Language Assessment. The atmosphere in the school is family-like, built on trust and communication. We are always trying to find a way how things can be done and child/student or parent are number one for us. SPEAK has the ambition to continue to set a quality of education in our region and to support successful young people through projects. Besides supporting our students’ projects, we are also known for our social programme through which we supported Taják Ball, Selezian Ball, the Ecologists’ Ball, the Youth Ball and other important events in the region.
